HI,
I am using server 2012 r2 (standard) on my poweredge r320. The problem is i trying to connect the server to the network so that every machine in the network can use the domain, which is not happening at all. My rj45 connector and the cat 6 cable both are fine as tested from lan taster. i had also assinged ip to the NIC 1 on the server and trying to ping itself and its pinging. Its also connected to internet but when i try to ping the gateway i cannot. although on the router side, the internet is working whcih was been cheked through wireless as well as LAN; tested both. When i see on the LED lights on the server side on NIC1, neither on the switch through which it is connected.
i want to konw why is this happening. i had done cable testing, switch port test, router port test, ping from other machine to other clients. They are showing it in perfact condition.
Please help me out with this issue.
